Overtime this painting has grown in meaning. Originally I painted the shells as a remembrance of my youth. Visiting the beaches of North Carolina collecting buckets of shells. However now that my family has moved out of Ohio, back to North Carolina. I'm alone in Ohio, whilst part of my home, my family are in North Carolina.
